Music, Family, Skating, Politics, Travel, Food, Community Service, Your Hometown etc.) *It does not have to be affiliated with your current position, career, job. It’s something that brings joy to your life when experienced/ discussed.
Beyond a position, career, or job. Rather “the why” behind a position, career, or job title. A broad statement that expresses your goals. For example, I want to support underrepresented populations to see their authentic power; I want to help the “underdog'' not see themselves as an “Underdog.” Or, “I want to expose people to experiences traditionally inaccessible, due to systemic barriers.” Or “I want to spread a message of limitless possibility.”
A focused and tangible way that you want to apply your “why.” A specific field, industry or service. For example, “I want to support the “Underdog,” through an educational lens. Through seminars, lectures, and events that allow for dialogue about possibility and connection to others.” Or, “I want to increase exposure through curating wine experiences for historically excluded individuals.” Or. “I want to spread a positive message pertaining to possibility through starting an art / candle / clothing line with inspirational quotes/ statements.”
What assistance do you need to help make “what you want to do” tangible. For example, Socio-Emotional / Physiological Support: Tools that can assist with procrastination or imposter syndrome, accountability/ someone to check on my progress, audience to practice a pitch. Or, Tangible Support: Event spaces, Cameras, Backdrop, Various Equipment. How to create a business or build a website. Or, Network Based Support: Audience to attend events, Promotion of event/ ideas, Access to those with experience/ knowledge.
